Hampton By Hilton Hotel

This commission was for four double-glazed decorative units for the entrance and frontage of this new hotel. The glasswork constitutes the public art element of the construction programme, and was prescribed by Sheffield City Council, through Andrew Skelton, Public Art Officer in the Council’s Urban & Environmental Design Dept.

The simple designs refer to the building's previous use as a police station, with the use of blues with silver, and are intended to complement the sea green / blue grey colours of the building’s cladding and the 1960’s architecture.
